I'm Jeff Chosid and this website is dedicated to Ma Vie Intérissant.
In April 2013, at the age of 59, I retired. I realized it was the first day of the rest of my life. Many people retire and have nothing to do. Sadly, they're waiting to die. This is not the case for me. My life is rich and full of fun and exciting things.
I had certain regrets. I never became a fighter pilot. I never joined the CIA (Not referring to the cooking school) and I never learned to speak French. I realized that I was never going to become a fighter pilot. Nor was I to become a CIA agent. But the French thing...
In January 2014, I started the fulfillment of a lifelong dream, to learn French. My learning continues to this day. I'm active in Alliance Française de St. Louis, I serve on the Board of Directors and I am a Vice-President of the organization.
I've been traveling to Paris since 1993. Now, I spend about three weeks each year in Paris. In the Spring, I go solo. In the Fall, Claire and I go together. FYI - Claire goes to Naples, Florida, solo, each Summer. After forty-seven years of marriage, it works!
In 2015 I started scuba diving. Since then, I've dived Key Largo Fla., Pompano Beach Fla., North Carolina (U-352), Pensacola Fla.(USS Oriskany), Grand Cayman BVI, Maui Hi., Bora Bora, Lake Michigan (wreck diving off of Milwaukee Wis.) plus a lot of quarry diving in the midwest U.S. I have over 300 dives and have a Tec-50 PADI certification.
In 2017, I took up cooking. Details are elsewhere on this site.
My first grandchild, Penny, was born in 2018. My second grandchild, Adrian, was born in 2021.
Life is good!
