Today was our last day in Paris. We visited Le Jardin du Luxembourg and Le Jardin des Plantes. Quite interesting were the street protests. I spoke with a police officer and was told the protesters were workers. He also told me that the situation was not dangerous. Please note how the police came dressed for the event. Also, I noticed the police with tear gas grenades.
The weather forecast was bad but the reality was rather good. This morning, we met George and Katie and visited Le Musée d'Orsay and Le Musée de l'Orangerie. These two museums house the greatest collections of Impressionist art in the world. In addition to the incredible paintings, the d' Orsay also has amazing collections of decorative arts.
The mauvais weather continues. More accurately, it got worse. The day was, at best, overcast. Later, it rained.
I've always enjoyed the walking tours (self-guided) on www.historywalksparis.com. They are arranged by century. Each walk includes detailed historical information and a map. They are great. Today, we walked part of the 19th Century plan. Early this evening, we went to the Eiffel Tower, in the rain. This morning, the weather was not the best so we stayed around the apartment. In the early afternoon, the skies cleared and we headed out. We visited le Musée de l'Armée and Napoleon's Tomb. Afterwards, we walked around le quartier. This evening, we met George and Katie for cocktails and dinner. We all had a great time.
Another lame post today. We left Baden-Baden this morning and drove to Paris. More specifically, to the airport to drop off the car. La voiture will now start its immigration process to the United States. Uber into central Paris.
The apartment, on Avenue Rapp, is quite nice. Pretty good view from the window too. We arrived in Munich yesterday afternoon. Wiped out from traveling, Claire took a nap (Knapp!) and I went on a walk in the central part of the city. Today, we went to BMW Welt and took delivery of the new M550i car. Very cool. Then, a fast trip, on the Autobahn, to Baden-Baden. Triple digits on most of the drive, with a max of a bit under 150 MPH. Again, very cool. Baden-Baden is, probably, the nicest place I've ever visited. Without doubt, the Brenner's Park Hotel is the nicest hotel ever. Tomorrow, we are off to Paris. Très cool!

In addition to my travel blog, this website includes my photo collection (the “Best of the Best” (“My Best Photos”) and a small collection of photos from each of my international trips (Photo Gallery)) and the “About Me” page. Please take a moment and read the latter; it explains my thoughts about this website and photography.
