Just uploaded two videos from my August dive trip to North Carolina.

I've just posted my final collection of images from our recent trip to Paris. As is the norm, it's about 10% of the total images taken. For those that are interested in such things, two images are HDR (Row 8, right and Row 10, left). Go to the Photo Gallery through the menu bar or click the button below.
About three years ago I converted to a Sony mirrorless camera (A6300). Recently, I added a Sony RX100 Mk6, which I used on this trip. This camera is small and will easily fit into your pocket. In addition, it has a Zeiss 24-200mm zoom lens. It is the ideal travel camera and I am very pleased with it. À bientôt! Jeff C. Our last day in Paris! C’est très triste! We walked to Pont Alexandre III and then through Esplanade des Invalides to Musée Rodin. It was another beautiful late summer day in Paris. We finished off the day with a great dinner at La Fontaine de Mars.
It has been a wonderful trip with incredible September weather. The apartment, vast by Paris standards (About 1,200 sq. ft.) has been great. From the living room, we’ve had a view, through the Sycamores, of La Tour Eiffel. La belle vie. It was overcast but it was still a pleasant late summer day in Paris. We spent the afternoon in the 8eme Arrondissement, visiting Musée Nissim-de-Comondo, Parc Monceau and Musée Jacquemart-André. The last surviving members, of the Comondo family, died in Auschwitz in 1943.
We went to Place du Panthéon and then to the north side to see Saint-Étienne-du-Mont. FYI-That’s where the fantasy starts in the wonderful movie, “Midnight in Paris.” Then, down Rue Soufflot to Le Jardin du Luxembourg. It is, quite possibly, the loveliest park in Paris. We walked though the park and then continued through Jardin des Grands Explorateurs, to Boulevard du Montparnasse. Then (whew!) to Tour Montparnasse. This summer, they are offering cocktails and light food on the Panoramic Observation Deck. On the 56th floor, it’s the best view of Paris. Tour Montparnasse is the only skyscraper in Paris and is considered, by many, to be an incredible eyesore. Someone famous said it was the best view of Paris because you could not see Tour Montparnasse!
Today, we worked hard at doing just about nothing. We’ve been going since last Wednesday and were ready for a break. We walked around le quartier, faire le course, lunch in the apartment and read books, literally, in the shadow of La Tour Eiffel.
During our trips to Paris, Claire and I have noticed the changing trends of the popular dog breeds. At one time, we saw lots of Jack Russell Terriers. Then it was the French Bulldog. On this trip, we have not seen a single Jack Russell or Frenchy. It is obviously the year of Le Chihuahua! Dinner, at Le P’tit Troquet, was great. It’s always great. The last picture, today, needs a bit of clarification. This team’s job is to clean bird poop off of the benches in Champs des Mars. One guy’s job is to wet the bench with a watering can. #2 scrubs with a long-handled brush. #1 stands by, with a hand scraper, for tough situations. In about twenty minutes, they cleaned two benches. And if you think you have a crappy job... This past April, Jerry and Sue E. and I took a wonderful day tour to Normandy. Today, Claire and I took the same tour. It’s fourteen hours but you are taken to most of the important sites around the invasion beaches. This includes Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery at Colleville-Sur-Mur. It’s worth the time.
À bientôt! Jeff C. Claire and I have been traveling to Paris for twenty-five years. We still like taking a tour bus and seeing the city. No pictures during the tour but La Mur Végétal is just around the corner from the apartment, facing the Seine.
A great pizza, at Pizza la Gourmandise, which is a short walk from the apartment, in Rue Augereau. Today was our first full day in Paris and it was a glorious late summer day! Il fait beau!. We went to La Musée du Louvre and followed a great iOS app tour. The one hour tour option only took us about 2 1/2 hours. Dinner, at Le Petit Cler, was with Bruce and Leigh B. Nice evening after a nice day.
