This is my last day in Paris and, what a day it’s been! Mid 70s and hardly a cloud. « Il fait doux. » A perfect end to a wonderful stay in Paris.
I walked “Illegal Paris” today. I’ve been traveling to Paris for twenty-five years. Twice, I’ve been in a place when I’ve said to myself, “This is a bad idea. I have no business being here. Get out of here. Go find the closest Métro.” Today was one of those times, that is, number two. The area was a bit to the east of Sacré Coeur. I think it was wrong for the Detour app to have a tour that included this area. Quickly, I found a Métro and headed off to a nicer area, Avenue des Champs-Élysées and the Louis Vuitton store. Some years ago, when I started going on my annual solo April trips, I thought I would love to live in Paris. I soon realized, though, that everything I really care about is in St. Louis - My wife, kids, dogs, buddies...everything that’s really important. I always want to have a Paris trip on the calendar, but I want it with a round trip ticket. As a matter of fact, Claire and I leave for France in early September. Three nights in Val de Loire and then a week in Paris! The photos that I include in my posts are just quick grabs from my daily shots. When I have some time, I’ll go though all of my photos and add the “Keepers” to my Photo Gallery Page. For those of you that are interested, I’m using a Sony A6300 with a Zeiss 16-70 mm F4 lens. À Septembre. Cordialement, Jeff C.

Thanks for taking us along on your Paris trip, Jeff. I'm quite full from all the delicious food photos. Have a safe trip home to St. Louis. You are so right, you have a lot of important connections here in St. Louis, people who know and love you.
