Mercredi

Chantilly is a very nice town not far outside of Paris. It’s about 30 minutes by train but about 1 ½ hours by car. More on that later. There is a racetrack, horse training facilities and the most incredible stables imaginable. Then there is a beautiful château and gardens.

We took the train from Paris Gare de Nord to Chantilly and spent most of the day there. When we returned to the train station, for the return to Paris, we discovered that all trains we delayed due to an accident on the line, involving a person. Typically this means a suicide. We then learned that the delay could be two to three hours. The Uber was $116.00 and was a great value!
