Scuba Videos

I started scuba diving when I was 62 and, as of summer 2024, I've made over 300 dives. Locations include: Hawaii, Bora Bora, Key Largo, Fla., Pompano Beach, Fla., Pensacola, Fla., North Carolina, Grand Camen, Lake Michigan and a number of quarries, mines and freshwater locations.

In all, I've had three dive cameras. I hated the SeaLife. I disliked the Paralenz. Most recently, I've been using a GoPro Hero 11 Black and I love it. During my trip to Bora Bora, I started using AquaColorFix to correct color. The improvement is significant.
Lahaina (Maui), Hawaii

Port Washington, Wis.
Recently, group of us dived Lake Michigan from Milwaukee. The lake was cold and dark with rather poor visibility. It was cold too (43°). After the dives, I reviewed my video(s) and was unimpressed, to say the least. We stayed in Port Washington, about 30 miles north of Milwaukee. I brought a drone and filmed the harbor and downtown area. A scuba video...not exactly. A video taken on a scuba trip...YES!
Key Largo, Fla.
Key Largo offers great wreck diving.

Pompano Beach, Fla.
Surprise! Back to the southeast coast of Florida.

Turks and Caicos, BWI
Diving in TCI is leisurely and beautiful with an abundance of sealife.

Pompano Beach, Florida
As you might notice, I dive a lot in Pompano Beach, which is just a few miles north of Ft. Lauderdale. In 2023, I went to Southeast Florida three times. Great diving with a lot of wrecks.

Bora Bora, French Polynesia
In 2023, Claire and I made our second trip to Bora Bora. Bora Bora is beautiful and the diving is beautiful. There aren't any wrecks so it is just diving the amazing reefs.

Pompano Beach, Florida
I've done a lot of diving out of Pompano Beach, Fla., just north of Ft. Lauderdale. The diving is great, with a lot of wrecks.

Maui, Hawaii
Close to Lahaina, on Maui, there is this incredible location with dozens of sea turtles.

Morehead City, North Carolina
The German U-Boat, U-352, was sunk on 9 May 1942 off of the coast on North Carolina. U-352 fired torpedos at what it thought was a merchant vessel. In actuality, is was USCG Cutter Icarus. Icarus engaged and proceeded to sink U-352 with depth charges. Upon surfacing, 15 Germans were killed and 33 became prisoners of war. These POWs were the first Germans held in the U.S.

The second video was taken during the same dive. I've never seen so many sharks!
