This is my last post since I’m heading home tomorrow.
It was a big day, starting with the special Matisse exhibit at the Grand Palais. I love Impressionist art but Modern art, not so much. Afterwards, I walked down Av. Des Champs-Élysées to Place de la Concorde and continued through Jardin des Tuileries to the Louvre. I crossed the Seine and walked to the Jardin du Luxembourg, which is my favorite garden in Paris. Then, a quick stop at La Grande Épicerie de Paris, which truly defines the concept of a food shop. Next, lunch at Le Nemrod. I love a Croque Madame and their’s is very good. Ending this epic trip was a bus ride back to the quartier.

Yesterday, it was Les Halles. Today, it was Île de la Cité and the Art Deco exhibition at Les Arts Décoratifs.
Today started with a special exhibition at the Musée D’Orsay, “Renoir and Love. A Joyful modernity (1865-1885)”. It was wonderful. I spent some additional time at the museum, walking through the Impressionist galleries and the decorative design rooms. After the museum, I wandered around the Latin Quarter.
My travel was uneventful. The apartment is, well, an apartment. Dinner, on my first night, was great. After visiting Paris so many times, it’s reasonable to say that I typically go to my favorite restaurants. Le P’tit Troquet, though, is always the first reservation I make. Maybe it’s my number one.
